Do I pay before the ride? No. You pay in cash after you arrive, in Saudi riyals or US dollars.

A Makkah taxi service you can plan your Umrah around

Al Haram Cabs is a Makkah taxi service for pilgrims who want a private taxi in Makkah, a fair price and a driver who turns up. You land in Jeddah tired, with family and heavy bags. The last thing you want is to bargain with strangers at the airport. So we agree your fare on WhatsApp before you fly, track your flight, and have a driver ready when you come out.

We are a local team based in Makkah. You book directly with us, not through an agent. That means one number to call for every ride of your trip: the airport, the hotel, Makkah to Madinah, Ziyarat and the return flight.

Why pilgrims choose Al Haram Cabs

When pilgrims review Umrah taxi companies, the same complaints come up again and again: rushed Ziyarat, late pickups, surprise prices and drivers who could not talk to their passengers. Here is how we handle each one.

  • Fixed price before you travel. You get one price for the whole car on WhatsApp. No meter and no bargaining on the day.
  • Pay after your ride. No deposit, no card needed. Pay in cash, in Saudi riyals or US dollars, when you arrive.
  • We wait for late flights. We track your flight and wait up to 2 hours free of charge.
  • Drivers who explain, not rush. On Ziyarat, your driver tells you what happened at each site.
  • Licensed drivers who speak your language. Urdu, English and Arabic.
  • New, air conditioned cars. Our whole fleet is 2026 models.
  • Private rides only. We never put strangers in your car. That makes us a family taxi service in Makkah that suits elderly parents and women travelling together.
  • Book direct with a Makkah based team. One WhatsApp chat reaches the people who run the cars.
  • Driver details before pickup. We send you the driver's name and car number before your ride.
  • Safe driving. Our drivers do not use their phone while driving, and they take rest breaks on long drives.
  • No middlemen. Your booking stays with our own team and is never passed to other drivers.

Your Umrah transport, from arrival to departure

Most pilgrims need five or six rides in one trip. We can do all of them, so you only save one number.

  1. Arrival at Jeddah. Your Umrah taxi from Jeddah Airport is ready when you land. We pick you up at King Abdulaziz International Airport. That covers every terminal, including the Hajj Terminal and the North Terminal. Then we drive you to your hotel near Masjid al-Haram.
  2. Arrival at Madinah. We pick you up at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport and take you to your hotel near Masjid an-Nabawi.
  3. Makkah to Madinah, or Madinah to Makkah. Hotel to hotel, about 440 km by road. Coming from Madinah for Umrah? We stop at the Abyar Ali Miqat so you can enter ihram.
  4. Train connections. We meet you at the Haramain High Speed Railway stations in Makkah and Madinah.
  5. Ziyarat and day trips. Makkah, Madinah, Taif and Badr, with a driver who explains each site.
  6. Departure. Back to Jeddah Airport or Madinah Airport in good time for your flight.

We also do Makkah hotel transfers (hotel to hotel), group bookings and a car with driver by the hour.

Ziyarat tours with a driver who explains each site

A Ziyarat tour should not feel like a quick drive past. Our drivers explain the history of each place, so you understand what you are seeing.

  1. Message us on WhatsApp. Send your pickup point, destination, date and time (or flight number), and the number of passengers and bags.
  2. Get your fixed price. We reply with one price for your car. Say yes, and your ride is booked.
  3. Ride, then pay. Your driver picks you up on time. You pay in cash when you arrive.

Where will I meet my driver at the airport?

Your driver waits for you in the airport parking area. Keep WhatsApp switched on when you land, so we can reach you and guide you to the car.

Why book your Makkah taxi before you land?

Booking before you arrive means your ride is sorted before you step off the plane. After a long flight, with family and bags, that matters.

  • No airport bargaining. You do not have to negotiate with drivers in the arrivals area.
  • You know the price before you land. One price for the whole car, agreed on WhatsApp.
  • Your driver tracks your flight. If you land late, we wait up to 2 hours for free.
  • The right size car is ready. We match the vehicle to your group and your luggage.
  • No shared rides. Only your group travels in the car.
  • Easier for families and elderly parents. Door to door from the airport to your hotel, with no queues and no changes.

Private taxi, app, bus or train: which is best for Umrah?

Each option has a place. Here is an honest comparison to help you choose.

  • Ride hailing apps operate in Makkah and are handy for short rides around the city. For an airport arrival with a family, lots of luggage, a Miqat stop or a Ziyarat tour, a pre booked private car is often easier. You know the price, the car size and who is coming before you land.
  • The Haramain High Speed Railway links Makkah, Jeddah (including the airport station) and Madinah. It is fast between cities, but the stations are not at your hotel door. Many pilgrims book a taxi for the station transfer.
  • Buses are the lowest cost option, but they run to a timetable and you share the ride.
  • A private taxi takes you door to door, on your schedule, with room for your bags and your whole family.

Good to know before you book

  • Prices are per car, not per person.
  • Tolls, parking and airport fees are not included in the fare.
  • Prices can change during Ramadan and Hajj season, so book early for those dates.
  • We accept cash only, in Saudi riyals (SAR) or US dollars (USD). We do not take card payments.
  • All rides are private. We do not offer shared rides.
  • Al Haram Cabs is an independent private taxi company. We are not the government's official Makkah Taxi service.

Areas we serve

We are based in Makkah and cover the main Umrah routes in western Saudi Arabia.

  • Makkah: hotels around Masjid al-Haram, Aziziyah, Masjid Aisha (Tan'eem), the Makkah Haramain train station and all Ziyarat sites.
  • Jeddah: King Abdulaziz International Airport, all terminals, and hotels in Jeddah.
  • Madinah: Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport, hotels near Masjid an-Nabawi and the Madinah Haramain train station.
  • Taif: day trips and Ziyarat from Makkah.
  • Badr: Ziyarat trips from Madinah.

Which taxi service is best in Makkah?

The best service is the one that fits your trip. Before you book, check five things. Is the price per car and agreed before the ride? Does the driver track your flight and wait if it is late? Is the ride private, with a vehicle big enough for your bags? Can the driver speak your language? Do you pay only after you arrive? Al Haram Cabs meets all five, and our Google reviews are open for you to read.

Can I use Uber in Makkah?

Yes, ride hailing apps work in Makkah for short trips in the city. For an airport pickup, a long route such as Makkah to Madinah, a family with lots of luggage or a Ziyarat tour, a pre booked private car is easier. You know the price before you travel, the right size vehicle is ready, and your driver waits for you instead of cancelling.

How do I book a taxi from Makkah to Madinah?

Send us a WhatsApp message with your date, pickup hotel, drop off hotel, number of passengers and number of bags. We reply with the price and vehicle, and confirm your booking. The drive is about 440 km. Going the other way, from Madinah to Makkah for Umrah, we stop at the Abyar Ali Miqat so you can enter ihram.

Do I have to pay in advance?

No. There is no deposit. You pay the driver in cash after you reach your destination, in Saudi riyals (SAR) or US dollars (USD). We do not take card payments.

What happens if my flight is late?

We track your flight, so your driver knows when you really land. Waiting is free for up to 2 hours after landing. If your flight is cancelled or moved to another day, message us on WhatsApp and we will change your booking.

Where do I meet my driver at the airport?

Your driver waits for you in the airport parking area. We do not stand inside the arrivals hall with a name board. Keep WhatsApp switched on when you land so we can reach you and guide you to the car. We cover all terminals at King Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah, including the Hajj Terminal and North Terminal, and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah.

Is the price per person or per car?

Per car. The price stays the same whether one person or a full family travels, as long as everyone fits in the vehicle you book. A Camry takes 4 passengers and 3 bags. For more people or more luggage, choose a Staria, GMC, HiAce, Coaster or bus.

Are tolls, parking and airport fees included?

No. Tolls, parking and airport fees are paid on top of the fare. Ask us about them for your route when you book.

Do you offer shared rides?

No. Every ride is private. The vehicle is only for you and your group.

What languages do your drivers speak?

Our drivers speak Urdu, English and Arabic.

Are you the official Makkah Taxi?

No. Al Haram Cabs is a private taxi service based in Makkah. We are not the government "Makkah Taxi" service. You book with us directly on WhatsApp or by phone.

Do you provide midnight airport pickups?

Yes. We work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we pick you up at Jeddah or Madinah Airport at any time, including late at night. We track your flight and wait up to 2 hours for free.

Can families book a private Umrah taxi?

Yes. Every ride is private, so only your family travels in the car. Tell us how many adults, children and bags you have, and we will suggest the right vehicle.

Which vehicle is best for a lot of luggage?

For a family with many bags, choose a Hyundai Staria (6 passengers, 8 to 10 bags) or a GMC Yukon (6 passengers, 6 to 8 bags). Larger groups can book a Toyota HiAce (11 passengers, 14 to 16 bags) or a Toyota Coaster (16 passengers, 20 to 25 bags).

Do you provide hotel to hotel transfers?

Yes. We drive you from one hotel to another in Makkah, and between hotels in Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah and Taif. Send us both hotel names on WhatsApp for a price.
